Happy Summer! (Finally!) Now that it’s hot and humid it’s time for all the fun festivals and outdoor activities. I’m excited to be a part of three amazing festivals this year… The Cleveland Asian Festival, which was in May. And the upcoming Cuyahoga Falls Irish Riverfront Festival and Cuyahoga Falls Festa Italiana. Fun Fun!!!
So here are a few new designs I cooked up this spring. It’s always good to add new ideas to the board, especially for festivals where I get alot of repeat clients each year! I hope to see you out at one this summer!
For those who aren’t familiar with the face painting world, FABAIC (the Face & Body Art International Convention) is THE face painting convention in the United States, and I had the pleasure of attending this year! It was AMAZING!!! Several hundred face and body painters from around the world, all in one room! Here are just a few of my photos from the event.
My favorite thing I learned at the convention was painting gothic jewelry. It is SO MUCH FUN to paint! Check these out…
My first painted jewelry piece at FABAICGothic Dragons Eye Necklace – This piece took me about 2 hours to paint at the jam, but it was so much fun!My painted pearls for the FABAIC Gala
Another new trick I learned at the convention was how to paint graffiti style! Super cool! I need to keep practicing, but I hope this will be hit at festivals.
Awesome graffiti style body painting
And the other first for me was entering a face painting competition! I didn’t win, but it was really a rush to compete. I am definitely looking forward to doing it again in the future! The theme was “The Orient Express”.

I had a great time at the Riverfront Irish Festival in Cuyahoga Falls earlier this month. What a great venue for a festival! I hope to be able to go back and do it all again next year. Here are few photos I snapped during the festival. I wish I had gotten more, but I was BUSY! If you were there and took some photos of my face paintings please share them!
Who says face painting is only for kids? Check out these totally hip teens (maybe even millenials?) I painted at a concert a few weeks back. There were no design boards here… all freehand paintings to match their outfits! I’m totally one of the cool kids now. 😉
I LOVE trying new designs… in fact my design book is constantly changing because every time I try something new I instantly want to add it to my selection for parties. This weekend I have a birthday party with a special request… it’s a My Little Pony party! I’ve been itching to try out these cuties forever, especially since the original MLP’s were my favorite toys as a girl! So here you go… brand new and ready to make their debut this weekend!
Hello there lovely people! Today I wanted to share a few new pictures with you that have just made it into my repertoire. It’s not always easy to find little models to paint fancy designs on, but every once in a while I get lucky and find some adorable kids happy to be painted. Other times, I’m working out new designs on my own mug, which don’t look nearly as cute in photos. My cats are so used to seeing me in face paint it doesn’t even faze them! Here are a few of my most recent designs… hopefully I’ll get to paint one of them on you soon!
Hello painty people! I have some VERY EXCITING NEWS to share with you today! I have just added a brand new product to my face painting arsenal, and it might be the coolest thing since sliced bread… Water Resistant Face Paints! That’s right folks… I can now paint your face, and you can cannonball into a pool without any worry about ruining that beautiful design! Don’t believe me? Check out this video to see it in action!
This revolutionary new product will stay put in water, but will wash off with liquid soap or baby oil, making clean up a breeze! Check out these new designs specifically for the Hybrid paints…
Are your kids constantly singing “Let it Go”? Is Olaf the new name of every stuffed animal in the house? Have you been asked lately if you want to build a snowman? If you know what I’m talking about then your kids are probably just as obsessed with Frozen as my step-daughter! Well Elaborate Eyes is here to help! Plan a Frozen themed party for those sing-songy kids and I’ll turn them into ice princesses and snow monsters! They’ll be the envy of ever kid on the playground when they show their friends pictures of themselves painted “just like Elsa!”. Check out my new Frozen face paintings, and call or email me to book your theme party!
I’ve been able to check a few more designs off my master list this last week, and am happy to share them with you! I only have about 55 more on my list… no seriously, I really do!
Happy Spring! I’m coming up on my 4 year face painting anniversary, and while I have grown alot professionally and artistically over the years, I think it’s finally time to upgrade my designs and setup. Over the next month or two I will be on a mission to get new designs in my book in time for the summer. My current list of new things to paint is up to 63, but lord knows that number keeps going up! So here is just the first set of updated and brand new designs I’ll be offering up to my clients… enjoy!
