Who says face painting is only for kids? Check out these totally hip teens (maybe even millenials?) I painted at a concert a few weeks back. There were no design boards here… all freehand paintings to match their outfits! I’m totally one of the cool kids now. 😉

One more Sugar Skull…
Ok, I know it’s almost Thanksgiving, and we’re all happily focusing on the next big holiday now, but I realized I never posted my last Sugar Skull of the year! This one turned out especially good, so I couldn’t let it pass by without a post. So here you go… I promise this is my last “halloweeny” pic for the year.
A Loving Family
I had the privilege of painting for a family reunion yesterday where the theme was definitely Love. I painted about a dozen designs all honoring Vivian, the family matriarch who passed away this year. It was beautiful to see how many adults and children wanted their paintings to pay tribute to their mother and grandmother. Here are just a few of the designs I painted…
I hope the family enjoyed my paintings as much as I did… the photos will make a touching addition to their family scrapbooks.
Feeling a little GREEN??
Happy March face paint fans! This month is going to be choc full of fun designs because the lucky month of March gets TWO big holidays this year! And what better way to get in the spirit than painting it on?! So in preparation for the first big holiday I’ve started painting some fun new designs specifically for ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
Here in Cleveland we LOVE St. Patrick’s day. (lots of Irish here ya’ know). This year I am pleased to announce that I will be painting at MAVIS WINKLES IRISH PUB in Independence, on Rockside Road. They will have festivities going on all day, including live music by the fantastic local band CRAIC. They are also offering free shuttle rides to and from downtown for everyone who wants to see the parade, but doesn’t want to deal with parking (or driving after they’ve had a few green beers, if’n ya know what I mean). So come see me and get painted up green on St. Paddy’s day!
And now for our regularly scheduled paintings…
Pretty Pretty Princess!
Hello friends! I have a princess themed birthday party on my schedule soon and so I decided this weekend I would work on my princess crowns. There are so many different ways to paint a “crown” but sometimes on the spot my mind draws a blank. So here are 4 new versions for the girls to choose from. Enjoy!
P.S… next week for sure I’ll be working on new BOY designs!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I hope you’ve all enjoyed your holidays as much as I have, and are ready to start a productive new year. Did you make a new years resolution? I’ve made my resolution to become more motivated this year. So far I’m doing a fantastic job, and thanks to my new found motivation I have set myself a goal… I am going to practice my face painting every weekend this month. Finding time to practice isn’t always easy, so now while it’s the slow season I’m going to make the effort to try out new designs and techniques. This weekend I decided to try out some new mask designs. These are so fun, and always unique to the event and person wearing it. I’m excited to add some of these ideas to my bag of tricks for the upcoming Mardi Gras parties!
I hope you enjoy these! I can’t wait to show you what I’m doing next weekend!
Oh what fun we will have…
Hello summer party people! Well the busy season has officially begun and my calendar is filling up quickly with all sorts of great face painting goodness! I’ve got birthday parties, block parties, company parties, graduation parties and some plain ‘ol just for the fun of it parties! Are you looking for some colorful additions to your summer bash? Give me a call!
In the meantime, here are a few photos from last weekend… I had some great picks of some old favorites I haven’t painted in a while and even a few new requests. Most importantly, good times were had by all. 🙂
Happy Holiday Designs
Christmas is definitely the second most magical time of year (after Halloween of course), and since it’s so special the season deserves some of it’s own face painting designs! I spent 5 hours yesterday painting these fun and festive choices at a company holiday party and they were a hit! Maybe you have a fun event planned in the next few weeks that you’d like to add some magic to? Give me a call!
First up, a new design called Snowball Fight! This was super popular yesterday, and a personal favorite of mine.
And here’s a little outtake from my self painting session… Had a little trouble with my glitter bottle and dumped it all over myself! I think a good caption for this photo is “My Snowman pooped on me!”
Happy Holidays everyone!
Yelp Cleveland’s First Burstday Party!
Last week I had the honor of being a part of Yelp Cleveland‘s First Burstday party. It was a super fun time at one of the hippest parties I’ve been to in a while! I had the very rare treat of having a line of ADULTS waiting for me to paint them! Talk about making a girl feel popular!
Check out my Yelp listing here and feel free to rate me and leave a comment if I’ve helped make your party a success!
Thanks again to the folks at Yelp for inviting me to help add some color to the party! And for getting some great photos to share!
Sugar Skulls
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, s a Mexican holiday celebrated every year on November 1st and 2nd. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. Artisans have been making beautifully decorated sugar skulls for generations, and now the artform has turned into very popular face painting designs!
Happy Día de los Muertos!
