Kids Town Family Night

I had a great time yesterday painting for the Kids Town Family Fun night!  Here are just a couple pictures from the event…

And last but not least…

NEO Face Painters Guild

Did you know that besides just being a professional face painter, I am also the Vice President of the North East Ohio Face Painters Guild, which is a professional organization of face painters in this region.  We meet every month on the first Wednesday of the month at the Home Town Buffet in Parma, near the corner of Snow rd. and Broadview rd.  This is a way for me to network with other painters, share tips and tricks, and also take some time to practice new designs.  And as a bonus to you… we paint the patrons of the restaurant for FREE from 5:30 – 7:30 each time we’re there.  Mark your calendars for next month and come in for dinner and get the kiddos painted!

Here are a few of the new designs I worked on at our February meeting…

Chinese New Year Designs

I’ve been working on new designs specifically for the Chinese New Year Festival I’m painting at today.  Come see me from 11-5 at the Asian Town Center located at 3820 Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114.  There’s entertainment all day long with dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, the traditional Lion Dance and fireworks!  Try some yummy food and get your face painted by me!  See you there!

Happy Holiday Designs

Christmas is definitely the second most magical time of year (after Halloween of course), and since it’s so special the season deserves some of it’s own face painting designs!  I spent 5 hours yesterday painting these fun and festive choices at a company holiday party and they were a hit!  Maybe you have a fun event planned in the next few weeks that you’d like to add some magic to?  Give me a call!

First up, a new design called Snowball Fight!  This was super popular yesterday, and a personal favorite of mine.

And here’s a little outtake from my self painting session… Had a little trouble with my glitter bottle and dumped it all over myself!  I think a good caption for this photo is “My Snowman pooped on me!”

Happy Holidays everyone!

Painting a Model

Yesterday I painted my first collaboration with a photographer for a photo shoot.  It was alot of fun, and the photos turned out amazing!  Photographer Mark Wearsch had a fun vision and our model did a great job!  I can’t wait to do more fun shoots like this, and I really should hire Mark to follow me around to all of my gigs to get photos like this more often!

Yelp Cleveland’s First Burstday Party!

Last week I had the honor of being a part of Yelp Cleveland‘s First Burstday party.  It was a super fun time at one of the hippest parties I’ve been to in a while!  I had the very rare treat of having a line of ADULTS waiting for me to paint them!  Talk about making a girl feel popular!

Check out my Yelp listing here and feel free to rate me and leave a comment if I’ve helped make your party a success!

Thanks again to the folks at Yelp for inviting me to help add some color to the party!  And for getting some great photos to share!

Sugar Skulls

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, s a Mexican holiday celebrated every year on November 1st and 2nd.  Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts.  Artisans have been making beautifully decorated sugar skulls for generations, and now the artform has turned into very popular face painting designs!

Happy Día de los Muertos!

Halloween 2011 – Part 2

Well it is the day after the saturday before Halloween…. or in other words “Adult Halloween”!  Yet again I had some awesome clients and fun makeup requests throughout the day.  We had fun making magic and I hope everyone had a blast last night!   Check out my creations…

First up, this lovely feline which was my first head to toe body painting!  She was a sexy tiger, and looked AMAZING when I was done.  I can’t post all the pics, since this is a family friendly page, but yes, the stripes go all the way down.  ;)

Next up: Zombie #1.  You may recognize him as my skull from last week.  This time he was rockin the rotting and lovin the gore.  I love guys that are into paint!

A lovely Masquerade mask…

A cool Mime… wish I had gotten a pic with her fun hat on.

Frankenstien’s Monster #1 (what a great idea!)

A cute elderly Zombie couple… (they even had a walker!!)

And last but not least, my personal favorite… Frankenstein and his Bride!
(I wish I had thought to get a side shot of my hair… it was standing about 8″ off the back of my head!)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!  I can’t wait to see what challenges you come up with for me next year!!

Halloween 2011 – Part 1

The great thing about Halloween, is that people celebrate it over not just one day or one weekend, but almost the whole month of October!  This weekend I painted my first round of awesome faces for some cool party goers, and got some great photos to share with you.  First… check out this fun family!  What happened after Beauty and the Beast got married?  They had a Son of a Beast!

Mr. Beast won the Best Male Costume prize at their party!

And my first Avatar face… pretty excited with how well she turned out!  She also won a costume contest!!!

A creepy Skeleton is a classic Halloween costume…

And last but not least… my flesh rotting zombie face that I wore to the Cleveland Zombie Crawl.  The Old Angle bar voted me best zombie costume!

So what is your idea for next weekend?  I still have appointment times open for Saturday the 29th, and am available on Monday the 31st to get your kids all ready for their trick-or-treating!  Contact me for details!
