Kids Town Family Night

I had a great time yesterday painting for the Kids Town Family Fun night!  Here are just a couple pictures from the event…

And last but not least…

New Design Time!

Sorry it’s been a while since my last post, things have been busy busy busy!  I can’t wait to tell you about the new project I’m working on… soon I’ll post the details on my newest adventure in face & body painting!  For now though, here are just a few of the latest new designs offered in my book…

Chinese New Year Designs

I’ve been working on new designs specifically for the Chinese New Year Festival I’m painting at today.  Come see me from 11-5 at the Asian Town Center located at 3820 Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114.  There’s entertainment all day long with dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, the traditional Lion Dance and fireworks!  Try some yummy food and get your face painted by me!  See you there!

So much to Share!!

I know this site has been boring the last month or so, but I’ve been a busy little painter bee!  I spent all last week at a Face Painting Convention, learning new tricks and designs!  I had an AMAZING time and met so many cool new people, and learned SOOOO MUCH!  I got a few new paints to play with too!  I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on, so without further adieu…

My New Years Eve look….

My Fiancee’s NYE look…

And here’s a close up because it’s just too cool to not get a better view…

This is just a sampling of new paintings… there’s plenty more to come!

Happy Holiday Designs

Christmas is definitely the second most magical time of year (after Halloween of course), and since it’s so special the season deserves some of it’s own face painting designs!  I spent 5 hours yesterday painting these fun and festive choices at a company holiday party and they were a hit!  Maybe you have a fun event planned in the next few weeks that you’d like to add some magic to?  Give me a call!

First up, a new design called Snowball Fight!  This was super popular yesterday, and a personal favorite of mine.

And here’s a little outtake from my self painting session… Had a little trouble with my glitter bottle and dumped it all over myself!  I think a good caption for this photo is “My Snowman pooped on me!”

Happy Holidays everyone!

Painting a Model

Yesterday I painted my first collaboration with a photographer for a photo shoot.  It was alot of fun, and the photos turned out amazing!  Photographer Mark Wearsch had a fun vision and our model did a great job!  I can’t wait to do more fun shoots like this, and I really should hire Mark to follow me around to all of my gigs to get photos like this more often!

Yelp Cleveland’s First Burstday Party!

Last week I had the honor of being a part of Yelp Cleveland‘s First Burstday party.  It was a super fun time at one of the hippest parties I’ve been to in a while!  I had the very rare treat of having a line of ADULTS waiting for me to paint them!  Talk about making a girl feel popular!

Check out my Yelp listing here and feel free to rate me and leave a comment if I’ve helped make your party a success!

Thanks again to the folks at Yelp for inviting me to help add some color to the party!  And for getting some great photos to share!

Focus on Flowers

Whenever I am painting away at birthday parties or family functions and have a gaggle of children around me watching intently as I transform their friends, I am constantly being asked “how did you learn to paint so well?” And my reply is always the same… “I practice all the time… the only way you get good at anything is to practice over and over again!”  It’s true for everyone and everything… we all start at the beginning.  And as much as I would like to only show you my perfect pictures and designs I’ve spent extra time on to get them just right, I think maybe it’s important to show you some of my practice work as well.  Hopefully soon I’ll have more pictures of these designs, done on real faces in the real word, and hopefully they’ll be even better!

Here are a few photos of some new designs and techniques I learned at a recent face painting workshop, taught by an artist far more superior than me, because even professionals still have to practice.  :)

Sugar Skulls

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, s a Mexican holiday celebrated every year on November 1st and 2nd.  Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts.  Artisans have been making beautifully decorated sugar skulls for generations, and now the artform has turned into very popular face painting designs!

Happy Día de los Muertos!
